THOMAS WHISTON

Teacher of Guitar

Thomas has been teaching Guitar and Bass for eight years, to people of all ages and skill levels, and did so whilst earning a music degree from Hertfordshire University in 2011. When he is not teaching, he enjoys playing with his band, trying to play Badminton, and hiking.

 


VICKY SCRASE

Teacher of Guitar, Singing and Piano

Growing up in a musical family, Vicky participated in musical and dance events at every opportunity as a child. 
 
She joined the National Conservatoire of Music, in Athens, Greece at the age of 11 where she studied for 8 years. Vicky has practiced music for over 20 years and has completed grade 8 music theory, grade 8 singing, grade 7 guitar and piano, as well as 2 years choir management. Vicky has also obtained a Foundation Degree in Music and is currently studying for a BA(hons) degree in the subject. 
 
Vicky has also taken part in several competitions such as open mic UK (semi-finals) and X factor (judge's house). Vicky even auditioned for Eurovision junior as a child and has written a few of her own songs some of which have been studio recorded.  
 
Vicky has been teaching for ASCA since 2019 and is now our Primary School coordinator. 


JASPER MORRISSEY 

Teacher of Drums

Jasper has played the drums professionally for over 25 years and he enjoys a busy schedule on the London gig cicruit as well as performing all over the UK. Over the years, he has performed at some of the top live music venues in London, such as Ronnie Scotts, Pizza Express Jazz Club, 606 Club in Chelsea, as well as countless other venues. He has perfomed in many music festivals including the Isle of Wight Jazz and Blues Festival, Edinburgh Festival and Ealing Jazz Festival. He has performed and recorded with a vast array of artists throughout his career, including Jim Mullen, Carl Orr, Lance Ellington, Laurence Cottle, Richard Niles and Dick Morrissey. Jasper has been teaching drums for over 20 years, helping numerous students to pass graded exams from Rockschool and Trinity Rock & Pop. He currently teaches at several schools in Cambridgeshire and London, as well as teaching privately. 


JANE DOUGLAS 

Teacher of Guitar

Jane Nicola is a music teacher and a state-registered music therapist who specialises in guitar (pop and classical) and singing (pop/jazz/musical theatre). She offers tailored lessons to students of all levels and abilities. 

Jane trained for a music degree at Middlesex University, followed by a Masters in Music Therapy at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. She has also completed a range of professional teaching qualifications, including the LTCL teaching diploma from Trinity College London and a PGDE through Exeed College. Jane Nicola also undertake ABRSM classical guitar to Grade 8.

Her background includes working with a variety of bands, guitar and ukulele groups, pop choirs, both internationally and in the UK, bringing a versatile and informed approach to her teaching.
