Guitar tutor

I've been teaching Guitar and Bass for eight years, to people of all ages and skill levels, and did so whilst earning a music degree from Hertfordshire University in 2011. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy playing with my band, trying to play Badminton, and hiking.

 VICKYVICKY SCRASE

Teacher of Guitar, Singing and Piano

I have grown up in a musical family with one grandparent singing in a choir and the other one singing and playing trombone and harmonica. As a child I participated in several school plays and concerts and sang at small events. I also took dance lessons to enhance my performances.

I joined the National School of Music at the age of 11 after my grandparents insisting I should and nagging my parents to sign me up. Meanwhile I did GCSE and A level in Music at secondary school. I expanded my dance lessons to latin at the same time in order to be more versatile.  I have been practising music for over 15 years now and studied it for 8 years from 2001 until 2009. I have done grade 8 music theory, grade 8 singing, grade 6 guitar and grade 5 piano, as well as 2 years choir management at the National School of Music in Athens.

I have been teaching music privately the last 3 years but have been a professional performer for 10 years as well as having taken part in several competitions such as open mic UK (semi finals) and X factor (judge's house). I also auditioned for Eurovision junior as a child and have written a few of my own songs some of which have been studio recorded. I have participated in radio stations both in Greece and England and have taken part in musicals too.

I have sang in various settings including piano bars, pubs, weddings, parties and bigger stages such as theatres. I am also currently studying a BA(hons) degree in music with the Open University.
